Hansa Powerade Dusi Canoe Marathon |

The Hansa Powerade Dusi Canoe Marathon 2009 promises to be another exciting and event filled race. Approximately 2000 paddlers will brave the waters of the Dusi river on this 3 stage event, Pietermaritzburg and Durban will gear up for an influx of canoeists, their seconders, and thousands of supporters.
The field is made up of some of the coutry's top athletes as well as a host of international paddlers. The race starts at the famous Natal Canoe Club in Pietermaritzburg, follows down into the Valley of a Thousand Hills where paddlers stop over at the end of stage 1 and stage 2, and then ends in Durban at the Blue Lagoon. Approximately 70% of the visiting paddlers and ther support teams stay at lodges, guest houses and B&B's along the route.

The STIHL Non Stop Dusi 2010 is not for the feint at heart. The spectacular event is designed to challenge even the toughest athletes as it follows the route of the Dusi Canoe Marathon. The big difference lies in that the STIHL Non Stop Dusi takes a three day course, and makes it a one day course. This is a challenge that can make or break the intrepid athletes as they travel from Pietermaritzburg to Durban by canoe and by foot during the course of 1 day.

The annual The Unlimited Dusi Mfula was borne from the huge demand by non-paddlers for an adventure that follows the route of the famous Dusi Canoe Marathon. The Unlimited Dusi Mfula is a 2 stage event through the scenic Valley of a Thousand Hills in the heart of Kwazulu Natal. Most participants will agree that is an adventure never to be forgotten as they cycle through the traditioanlly Zulu region. Following cattle paths and the winding uMsunduzi river on a mountain bike makes for some exciing single track cycling.
The event has grown in popularity over the past few years with a waiting list of well over a hundred teams in the for the 2008 event. The number of teams is capped at 300.
